Imagine an alternate world identical to ours save one techno-historical change: videogames were invented and popularized before books.
Hmm.. Well. Hmm.. Exquisite corpse 3 is done. Here's the result. You'll recognize my part. When it sounds like someone changed the station... that's me. My electro rump shakin' is sandwiched between two amorphous ambient-type tracks. The reverb is totally different. The EQ is totally different. The relative levels aren't right. It sounds so wrong. Ah well.
Here's my part by itself, for reference.
Ahh.. That's better. Spacious again. As you may have noticed below, I've now got my del.icio.us links being automatically posted to this weblog every night, instead of showing up on a sidebar.
Well, somehow my L'usine vs Snoop Dogg mashup is making its way around the internet, even though I haven't told hardly anyone about it. So, I figure I might-as-well make it available here. Enjoy:
My friend Cliff "Vostek" just released a new album: Exercises in Exploration. Recommended.
On a related note, Cliff and I recently started work on a collaborative project, something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I think our styles are a good match. We'll keep you updated.
I got in on the third IDM Exquisite Corpse. The due date is next Friday. I'll let you know when the finished product is unveiled. Fun!
I should really ice out my Kaoss Pad.
The recordings from the show at the Rocket Cat Cafe are now online:
1. Brechia/On/Untitled (23MB)
2. Ainu (9MB)
3. Sakai (9MB)
I'm happy with how it went. I ventured pretty far out from the originals, especially with Ainu and Sakai. Let me know what you think...
Thanks to Mike Mikronesia for holding the event and Bernie for inviting me to play. Thanks to those who came out and those who listened. It was a small event but a great environment, and it was nice to hang out with the other artists.
